To use the new Ingenico Lane/3600 card reader with the kiosk, it must first be connected to the internet, and there are a few different options for doing that.
Option1: Our recommendation is to connect the card reader to its own dedicated hardwired internet connection. If needed, you can use a splitter to connect both the card reader and computer to the internet from a single source.
However, there may be situations where Wi-Fi is the only internet source that's available and it's not possible to connect the card reader to a hardwired internet connection. While the card reader cannot connect directly to the internet via Wi-Fi, there is another option:
Option 2: Using a Wi-Fi dongle would allow your card reader to utilize the Wi-Fi signal but connect via a cable. The hardware costs around $30, and the setup steps take about 10-15 minutes to complete. This option is more reliable than Option 3. We have linked a recommended device below.
