If the iPad screen is turning off when left unattended, then it’s possible that some iPad settings such as Auto-Lock and Guided Access are causing this to happen.
If Auto-Lock is set to 2min, 5min, 10min, or 15min, it will turn off the screen after the selected time period of inactivity.
If Guided Access’ Display Auto-Lock is set from 30 Seconds up to 15 minutes, it will turn off the screen after the selected time period of inactivity. If it is set to Default, it will turn off the screen based on the Auto-Lock setting in Display & Brightness. If the Auto-Lock is set to Never, then Guided Access will never turn the screen off.
Steps:
- Under Display & Brightness set Auto-Lock to Never.
- Go to Accessibility > Guided Access > Display Auto-Lock > turn on Default or Never.
