Kiosk App Updates
From time to time SecureGive will release updates to the iPad kiosk application. You can see when updates are available from within the kiosk app by looking at the kiosk app version number in the bottom right corner. If the number has the “Update Available” text next to it, then an update is available for install.

iPadOS Updates
We now recommend that you do not set iPadOS updates to automatically download/install. This can interfere with the connection to the card reader. We recommend that you check for iPadOS updates and install them at least every few months.
How to lock down the kiosk software with Guided Access (optional)
If you want to keep the kiosk application locked in place, you can set up Guided Access. You can enable Guided Access from the Settings app by going to Accessibility > Guided Access and tapping the toggle to enable it. After you launch the kiosk application, you will need to quickly triple tap the Home button (or the side button if you don't have a home button) to open the Guided Access window, and then tap Start. Then enter a six digit passcode that only your admins will know. Please do not forget the passcode. If you do, you will have to connect the iPad to a computer to fully reset it. To turn off Guided Access, triple tap the Home button, enter the passcode, and choose End.
How To close the kiosk application
- Tap on the version number in the bottom right corner
- Enter your Administrative login credentials
- Tap the Quit Application button on the following screen.
