Kiosk Showing “Access Disabled” Or "Refresh" Message

This message usually shows on the kiosk when the iPad has temporarily lost its internet connection. Because the kiosk application is an internet based application, it needs a proper internet connection to function correctly. If this message appears on the iPad kiosk, then follow the 4 troubleshooting steps below:

 Steps:

  1. If there is a Refresh button, tap that to see if it will reload the giving page.

  2. You may need to hard close and then relaunch the kiosk app. You can hard close the kiosk app by double-tapping on the Home button. Doing that will display any open applications as thumbnails on the screen. Then close the kiosk app by swiping its thumbnail off the page. Then relaunch the kiosk app once the internet is fully operational.

  3. If the Access Disabled text is accompanied by the "This organization is not configured to accept transactions" message, then that points toward there not being any Donation or Purchase categories that are both active and displayed to a location. This issue can be fixed from within the SecureGive dashboard by going to Categories > Donations or Categories > Purchases, and then make sure that at least one category is both active and displayed to a location. If your organization has multiple locations, and if a kiosk is showing the message above while being assigned to a particular location, then choose that location from the location dropdown on the categories page, and then make sure that at least one category is both active and displayed for that location.
