How To Set Up The Kiosk
Follow these steps to get your countertop kiosk set up and ready to receive donations.
- After you’ve unpacked your kiosk, you can connect the internet and electrical cords. You will need to have an electrical outlet nearby for the kiosk. You can turn on the kiosk by pressing the power button that is located on the lower left underside of the screen.
- You can connect your kiosk to the internet with either an ethernet cable or through Wi-Fi. If you choose to use an ethernet cable for internet, you will need to unscrew the panel that is on the underside of the monitor to access the ethernet port. You will also need to remove the back cover of the stand so that you can thread the ethernet cable through the back.
- Calibrate the touchscreen. (See the steps below.)
- The kiosk software is on the desktop of the kiosk. Just double-click the Kiosk app icon when you’re ready to launch it.
- If you have trouble connecting your kiosk to the internet, make sure Ports 80 & 443 are open in your network. Our servers require these ports to be open.
- If you bought the model that includes a printer, remember to buy extra rolls of thermal receipt paper. The paper should be 3 1/8" (80mm) wide.
How To Calibrate The Touchscreen
1. Hold your finger on the eGalaxTouch icon at the right of the Taskbar. Doing that will simulate a right-click. (You can also connect a mouse to do that.)
2. Choose “4 points calibration” in the menu.
3. Touch the touch points.
