Rock RMS Integration Instructions

Please follow the steps to integrate your Rock RMS system with SecureGive

In Rock RMS:

  1. Go to Admin Tools
  2. Choose Rock Shop
  3. Download the SecureGive Sync Integration App
  4. Follow instructions to create your Key
  5. Record the Rock External URL and API Key to use in SecureGive

 

In your SecureGive dashboard:

Go to Settings > Export. Enter your Rock URL and the API Key and click the Authorize button.

Connect your locations: To link your SecureGive locations (campuses) with Rock campuses, go to Settings > Locations and click on the name of the location to edit it. Go to the Rock RMS Location field and use the dropdown arrow to select the location. Be sure to Save.

Connect your categories: To link your SecureGive categories with Rock RMS categories, go to Categories > Donations or Categories > Purchases. Click the Edit Category button on the category name that you want to connect the fund to. Then use the dropdown arrow under the Rock RMS Category ID to choose the appropriate fund and click the Save Changes button at the bottom. 

Connect your members: You will need to input the Rock RMS Member ID into the Member ID field for each member profile in SecureGive. You will only have to do this one time for each member, and it will stay connected to them for all future transactions. You can do this from the All Transactions page or the Members page:

  1. Go to Reporting > All Transactions. Click the exclamation point in the Member ID column. Based on the member's profile information in SecureGive, a list of possible Rock RMS matches will appear in the "Add/Update Member ID" window at the right. Select the one you want to connect to, and then click the Update Member ID button. You can also enter the Member ID manually.

  2. Go to Users > Members, and select your desired member. Click the Add Member ID link. Select from one of the possible Rock RMS matches that appear in the "Add/Update Member ID" window at the right, and then click the Update Member ID button.
    You can also click the Edit pencil at the top right of the profile, and then click the Find Matches button next to the Rock RMS Member ID blank. Select from one of the possible matches that appear in the "Add/Update Member ID" window at the right, and then click the Update Member ID button. You can also enter the Member ID manually.

Connect anonymous Member ID: You will also need to connect your Anonymous member ID by going to Settings > Organization. Then enter the anonymous ID in the Rock RMS Anonymous Member ID field. Be sure to Save.

**When all integration steps are completed, transactions will begin to upload overnight each night to the Rock database. Be sure to monitor the Export Status column on your All Transactions report to see what transactions may need additional information in order to upload.
