What is ManagedMissions?

ManagedMissions is a non-profit organization and online software platform that helps churches and mission organizations manage the entire process of short-term mission trips, from online applications and fundraising to team communication and task management. The platform offers features such as document and budget management, online applications and forms, background checks, and tools for tracking donations and team progress.

SecureGive has two different integrations with ManagedMissions that can be activated and used together or independently. Let our team know which option you'd like to use.

What is a ManagedMissions URL Redirect?

When visiting Mission Trip pages in ManagedMissions, there is a feature to be able to accept donations directly from the trip website. If you want to use SecureGive as the donation payment processor for these gifts, ManagedMissions has a feature called URL Redirect that lets you define where to take the donor when they click the donate button in ManagedMissions.

What is Integrated ManagedMissions?

When visiting your organization's SecureGive online giving page or logs in through the mobile app, this option will allow your givers to select a trip or individual and give to it all while staying within the SecureGive system for their transaction. This utilizes the API Key found in ManagedMissions.

Will ManagedMissions reports match SecureGive?

Yes! When following a correct URL Redirect, that tells SecureGive to send the transaction details back to ManagedMissions once the donation is complete. This will update the Fundraising information in real time in ManagedMissions.

Step 1: Copy your ManagedMissions API Key into SecureGive

  1. Login to ManagedMissions
  2. Go to Account Admin > API Settings > Introduction
  3. Copy the API key located on this page
  4. Log in to SecureGive (https://app.securegive.com)
  5. Go to Settings > ManagedMissions
  6. Enter the API Key
  7. Press Save

Step 2: Enable and Configure the URL Redirect

  1. Go to Account Admin > Account Settings > Online Donations
  2. For Payment Processor, select URL Redirect from the dropdown
  3. Next, it is time to generate the URL that you will insert into the Public Profile Redirect URL. You will be able to use the dynamic values available on this ManagedMissions settings page. The information to build the link is:
    • Organization Slug (required)
      • This is your SecureGive slug (i.e. app.securegive.com/myOrg). If you want to specify a different organization slug per trip, this is possible using one of the available dynamic values that ManagedMissions allows (tripkey, purposecode, or incomeaccount). Simply put the organization slug as the value for that field when editing the trip
    • Location Slug (required)
      • This is your SecureGive location slug (i.e. app.securegive.com/myOrg/myLocation). If you want to specify a different location slug per trip, this is possible using one of the available dynamic values that ManagedMissions allows (tripkey, purposecode, or incomeaccount). Simply put the location slug as the value for that field when editing the trip
    • Trip Key (required)
      • This must be the ID that ManagedMissions assigned to the Trip, entered into the Trip Import/Export Key field in ManagedMissions
    • Person Key (required)
      • This must be the ID that ManagedMissions assigned to the Trip Member, entered into the Person Import/Export Key field in ManagedMissions
    • Category ID (required)
      • This it the SecureGive category that you want the ManagedMissions donation to be attributed to in SecureGive. This can be a fixed SecureGive Category ID that is used for all ManagedMissions donations, or you can use one of the available dynamic values that ManagedMissions allows (tripkey, purposecode, or incomeaccount).
    • Message (optional)
      • This gives you the option to be able to automatically add a message to the transaction in SecureGive. For example, if you wanted the trip name or person name to be included in the message so the donor can easily remember who they donated to, you could use a message like {tripname} - {firstname} {lastname}

Step 3: Save your Redirect URL into ManagedMissions

  1. Now that you have generated your link, go to Account Admin > Account Settings > Online Donations
  2. Copy and paste your newly generated URL into the Public Profile Redirect URL field in ManagedMissions
  3. Click Save

Step 1: Copy your ManagedMissions API Key into SecureGive

  1. Login to ManagedMissions
  2. Go to Account Admin > API Settings > Introduction
  3. Copy the API key located on this page
  4. Log in to SecureGive (https://app.securegive.com)
  5. Go to Settings > ManagedMissions
  6. Enter the API Key
  7. Use the dropdown to select the category you would like funds reported to in SecureGive
  8. Press Save
