The "Please check your payment method details and try again" error can sometimes show when you are trying to add a new payment method, update a payment method, or complete a transaction. It is always related to the payment method you are trying to add to your profile or use to complete a transaction. This error usually shows for the following two reasons:
- Typo in card information
You may have incorrectly entered the card number, expiration date, security code, or zip code. If that is the case, we recommend re-entering your card information and then trying to complete the transaction again. - Entering 3-digit security code for American Express cards
Some credit cards required the use of a 3-digit security code that is printed on the back. However, if you're using an American Express card, you'll need to use the 4-digit security code that is printed on the front of the card.
