"Please Check your Payment Method Details and Try Again" Error Message

The "Please check your payment method details and try again" error can sometimes show when you are trying to add a new payment method, update a payment method, or complete a transaction. It is always related to the payment method you are trying to add to your profile or use to complete a transaction. This error usually shows for the following two reasons:


  • Typo in card information
    You may have incorrectly entered the card number, expiration date, security code, or zip code. If that is the case, we recommend re-entering your card information and then trying to complete the transaction again.

  • Entering 3-digit security code for American Express cards
    Some credit cards required the use of a 3-digit security code that is printed on the back. However, if you're using an American Express card, you'll need to use the 4-digit security code that is printed on the front of the card.
