Filtering Transactions On The All Transactions Page

On the All Transactions page there are many ways to filter transactions so that you can find exactly the ones you’re looking for. All of this can be accessed by clicking on the Filters button near the top of the All Transactions page.

We’ll go over each section of the filters page:

  1. Date selector
The date selector is where you can set a start and end date. You will have to click twice to set a date range. The first click sets the start date, and the second click sets the end date. If you want to only see transactions from a single day, then you will need to click twice on that day. After you've chosen a date range, you can click the X to set the date selector to All Time.

  2. Location
If your church has multiple locations, you can use this dropdown to filter transactions by location.

  3. Sources
The Source dropdown allows you to filter transactions by sources such as Kiosk, Mobile, Offline, Online, Recurring, Scanned, Widget, and Text. The dropdown also allows you to select multiple sources.

  4. Method
Clicking on the Method dropdown opens a list of all payment method options. When you select a particular method category, the search results will just show the transactions that used that type of payment method.

  5. Kiosk

The Kiosk dropdown shows a list of all active kiosks on your account. When you select one or more kiosk you will only see transactions that were processed on those particular kiosks.

  6. Donation Categories
The Donation Categories dropdown allows you to filter results by one or multiple donation categories.

  7. Purchase Categories
The Purchase Categories dropdown allows you to filter results by one or multiple purchase categories.

  8. Campaigns

The Campaigns dropdown lets you see the transactions made towards any campaigns that your organization currently has active.

  9. Export Statuses
This dropdown allows you to filter transactions by their update status to your organization’s donor management software.

Here’s what the different dropdown options mean:

    a. Uploaded means that the record was successfully transferred.

    b.  Skipped means that the transaction will not upload to your donor management software. For example, failed transactions will be “skipped” since they were not processed and don’t need to be recorded on a donor’s giving record.

    c. Pending means that the transactions have not yet attempted to upload to your donor management software. All current day’s transactions will be pending until SecureGive sends them to your donor management software overnight.

    d. Queued. After we attempt to upload transactions, we give them this temporary export status of Queued before marking them as either Uploaded or Requeued. The Queued status is only temporary and usually only shows early in the morning.

    e. Re-queued means the transaction was not able to upload to the donor management software. These transactions may need attention for them to upload. You can click on the transaction to view the transfer statues and see why it was not able to upload.

    f. Failed means that the transaction has failed to upload to your donor management system and will not try again.

  10. Batch ID
The SecureGive Batch ID field allows you to input a SecureGive Batch ID number to see the transactions from that particular batch. SecureGive batches can be found under Reporting > Batches. When you click on a batch from the “Batches” report, it will take you to the All Transactions page with the SecureGive Batch ID pre-filled.

  11. User Type
Choose the Member button to only see transactions that were made while the giver was signed in to their profile. The Guest button displays transactions that were made without the giver signing in to an account. The All button is selected by default which will display all transactions.

  12. Processing Status
This allows you to filter transactions by whether they processed successfully or failed, or choose All to see both types. The Successful button is selected by default.

  13. Giving Type
The Donation and Purchase buttons allow you to filter results by all donation categories and/or by all purchase categories. The All button is selected by default.

  14. Message
This button allows you to filter results by all transactions with a message and/or by all transactions with no message. The All button is selected by default.

Once you've selected your filtering options, then click the Apply button to active them.
