If you would like to add Text to Give to your account, please contact our Success Team at 855-895-8951. You will have a choice between a local number and a toll free number. We will purchase the number and get it registered for use. 

When your Text to Give number is setup and ready to use, you will need to login to your administrative dashboard and go to Categories > Text to Give. From there, you can add up to 10 keywords you want to use for text giving. Keywords allow people to donate money to a specific donation category through Text. You would set up your donation or purchase category first then set up the keyword to connect to the category. You can edit your keywords at any time. You also have a default category that will be used if a donor just texts an amount or if their amount is texted before the keyword. 

To give, individuals will text either just an amount or a keyword, a space, and amount to your number. So if the keyword is "give" and you would like to donate $5, you would text give 5. If not using a keyword, they can just text 5. The system will then prompt you for your next step. It is important that the keyword comes first and it doesn't matter whether dollar signs are used or not.

• If an individual is giving through Text To Give for the first time, they will receive a text containing a link to login or create their SecureGive account.
• Givers will then be asked to save their default payment information for Text to Give, then the system will confirm their donation and they will receive an email receipt.
• The only time that givers should have to enter their login or card information is the first time they donate through Text To Give. After their first transaction, their SecureGive account and card information will be recognized automatically and they will simply reply Y to confirm their transaction. They will receive a confirmation text and an email receipt.
• If donors should ever have to change/edit the card used for text giving, they can text the word "update" to your number and receive a link to do so.
